Disney's
Coronado Springs Resort, intrigues the explorer in everyone with theming
based on Francisco de Coronado's travels from Northern Mexico to the
American Southwest. Accommodations in 1,967 moderately priced rooms and
suites are highlighted by colorful plazas, palm-shaded courtyards, and a
rocky shoreline surrounding a shimmering lake. A Mayan pyramid towers
over an elaborate pool area with a water slide and a playground that
doubles as an archeological dig site for young explorers.
Dining
options include the lively Pepper Market as well as a full-service
restaurant and lounge. For meetings, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
offers 95,000 sq. ft. of convention space. This Resort is
centrally located near Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, and is a
neighbor to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. It is across from and slightly
north of Blizzard Beach. The resort is divided into three areas - the
Casitas (three- & four- story buildings), Ranchos (two- & three-story
villas) & Cabanas (two-story buildings).
